2004 Softball Team
The 2004 softball team is the only team in program history to win a NAIA Regional Championship. In its only NAIA National Tournament appearance the squad won its first game, only to be a eliminated by a pair of one-run losses that followed, one of which in a program record 13 innings. The team featured First Team NAIA All-American and CSS Hall of Famer Laura Heise and four NFCA First Team All-Region selections in Heise, Kristi Erickson, Missy Erickson and Jen Vancura. UMAC Coach of the Year Jen Walter led the team to a program record 40 wins as well as a program-best winning percentage (.833).
