1976-77 Men's Hockey team
The 1976-77 men's hockey team won the school's second NAIA National Championship when it defeated Gustavus Adolphus College 3-2 in the championship game. The squad won 17 games and featured three NAIA All-Americans (Bill Couchaine, Randy Norgard and Andy Speak). Courchaine ('12), Norgard ('14) and Speak ('11) are already CSS Athletics Hall of Fame members. Courchaine was named the NAIA Tournament Most Valuable Player and was recognized by Sports Illustrated. Courchaine, Norgard, Speak, Jeff Couture and Keith Gilbertson were named to the NAIA All-Tournament team.
