Men's Basketball Head Coach
Jared Drake was a member of the prestigious 2025 NCAA Basketball Coaches Academy. The academy provided current, full-time intercollegiate men's and women's basketball coaches at NCAA member institutions an opportunity to expand their knowledge and insight into the world of intercollegiate basketball coaching. During the academy, the selected participants received training in a variety of areas that encourage effective coaching at the intercollegiate level, with a focus on the holistic well-being and development of the student-athlete.
Coach Drake felt especially impressed with the emphasis on the importance of building a culture of excellence focused on the overall success of student-athletes, being a CEO of the program, on-the-floor coaching strategies, and the personal management with the rigors associated with life as a coach.
"Throughout my career as an athlete, teacher, and coach, I've attended countless professional development events," said Drake. "None of them compare. This was without a doubt, the most impactful and transformative experience I've ever been a part of."
Coach Drake and the Saints look to move into the 2025-26 season with a lot of positive momentum.
