Men's Basketball Falls at #12 Gustavus

ST. PETER, Minn. – The St. Scholastica men's basketball team faced a stiff test on the road Thursday night, falling to No. 12 Gustavus Adolphus (per d3hoops.com) by a 124-65 final on Gus Young Court.

Gustavus came out firing from the opening tip, building a 66-22 halftime advantage and continuing to push the tempo in the second half. The Gusties shot 54.9 percent from the field and connected on 20 three-pointers, while also turning 22 Saints turnovers into 37 points.

St. Scholastica was led by Koy Nelson (Port Wing, WI/South Shore HS) with 15 points, while Jayden Brown (Grantsburg, WI/Grantsburg HS) finished with 11 points and a team-high six assists. Davion Butler (South Phoenix, AZ/) added nine points and Aaron Keykal (Princeton, MN/Princeton HS) chipped in eight as the Saints kept competing against one of the nation's top teams.

The Saints will finish their season against Concordia on Saturday, February 21, at home for senior day.
