-After starting the season 5-8, the Saints currently own a 10-game winning streak.
-In the sweep of Macalester, the Saints pitchers didn't allow a single run, starters
Matt Tautges (Fort Ripley, Minn./Pierz HS) and
Jerry Gooley (Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove HS) combined for 13 innings of 5-hit shutout ball and 14 strikeouts between them.
-That was the first shutout for the Saints this season, and last since a 16-0 win over Crown College on April 28, 2018.

Eric Pearson (Champlin, Minn./Champlin Park HS) picked up his sixth home run of the season in game one, he now ranks second in the UMAC.
-Nationally, Pearson is 35
th with .27 home runs per game.
-Pearson's bat is continuing to heat up this season for CSS. He now ranks second on the Saints with a .284 batting average and owns a .284/.381/.593 slat-line.

Conor Wollenzien (North Mankato, Minn./Mankato West HS) leads the UMAC with 13 doubles, he also ranks second in walks with 20.
-Wollenzien's 0.57 doubles per game ranks seventh in all of NCAA Division III.

Joey Zwak (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) leads all UMAC players with 17 stolen bases this season, the next closest player has nine. Zwak is 17/19 on stolen base attempts.

Aaron Weber (Sauk Rapids, Minn./Pierz HS) continues to pace St. Scholastica's offense leading the team with a .375/.455/.575 slash-line. Weber ranks in the top-5 of the conference in runs scored, hits, RBIs, home runs, sacrifice flies, and stolen bases.

Grant Taival (Mahtomedi, Minn./Mahtomedi HS) and Gooley have impressed so far on the mound for the Saints. Taival owns a 0.95 ERA in 19 innings of work, Gooley has a 2.70 ERA in 23.1 innings. Those rank fifth and seventh in the UMAC, respectively.

-The Cougars started the season 2-1, but now are losers of 13 straight and winless in conference play.
-The Cougars will play a doubleheader against North Central University (Minn.) before heading north to Duluth to face CSS.
-They have yet to win a game since coming back to Minnesota for the regular season. They have been swept by Bethany Lutheran College and Crown College in conference play.
-The Cougars have the lowest batting average in the conference at .219.
-Blaise Fairbanks and Alex Baumann lead the Cougars offense. Fairbanks owns a .350/.435/.450 slash-line, while Baumann has a .339/.345/.536 slash-line of his own.
-Brady Jergenson leads Morris with two home runs.
-Michael Head owns the best ERA for the Cougars among qualified players with a 4.34 ERA in 18.2 IP. Head has a 16:10 K:BB ratio and holds opponents to a .275 batting average.

Series History: The Saints have dominated this series all-time. The last Morris victory was a 12-9 win in early April 2015. These teams split the first four meeting between 1995-1996. Since those first four games CSS has gone 43-1 against UMM.
Looking Ahead: The Saints will head back onto the road to face North Central in another UMAC showdown on Wednesday. The doubleheader is scheduled to start at 1:30 p.m.
