Saints Baseball Earns Three MIAC Postseason Honors

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. -- The College of St. Scholastica baseball team earned multiple Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) postseason honors, as senior designated hitter Damian Tamayo Vera (Miami, FL./Felix Varela Senior HS) and sophomore outfielder Luke Krull (Greenville, WI/Xavier HS) were named All-Conference selections, while junior outfielder Finley Spicer (Aberdeen, N.C./Union Pines HS (Limestone University)) earned Honorable Mention recognition.

Tamayo Vera earned All-MIAC honors following a dominant senior season at the plate for the Saints. The Miami, Florida native led the MIAC in OPS (1.280) and slugging percentage (.776), while finishing fourth in the conference in batting average (.411). He totaled nine home runs, 37 RBI and 44 hits in 33 appearances, while adding a .522 on-base percentage and 27 runs scored during his final collegiate campaign.

Krull also received his first career All-MIAC selection after putting together one of the top offensive seasons in the conference. The sophomore from Greenville, Wisconsin hit .379 with 58 hits, 14 doubles, four triples, five home runs and 34 RBI, while scoring 41 runs and stealing 17 bases. He posted a .621 slugging percentage and .455 on-base percentage across 39 games.

Spicer picked up MIAC Honorable Mention recognition after another productive season in the Saints' outfield. The junior from Aberdeen, North Carolina batted .359 with 51 hits, 13 doubles, three triples, three home runs and 36 RBI. He also scored 33 runs and stole 14 bases while starting 35 games for the Saints.

St. Scholastica finished the 2026 season with a 20-19 overall record and a 9-11 mark in MIAC play, narrowly missing the four-team MIAC Playoffs.
