csssaints.com) -- The St. Scholastica men's tennis team defeated the University of Northwestern 9-0 on Saturday at Arrowhead Tennis Center. The Saints have shut out the Eagles eight of the last nine meetings.

The No. 1 team,
Logan Engelstad (Thief River Falls, Minn./Lincoln HS) and
Serhii Tykhonenko (Kiev, Ukraine/Lyceum #100 “Podil”), and the No. 2 team,
Ernesto Telles (El Salvador/Academia Britanica Cuscatleca) and
Brendan Boudreau (Thunder Bay, Ontario/Sir Winston Churchill Collegiate) beat their Northwestern opponents 8-2.
Bryce Gadke (Marshfield, Wis./Marshfield HS) and
Trace Combs (White Bear Lake, Minn./White Bear Lake HS), the No. 3 team, swept 8-0.
Singles
Tykhonenko, No. 1, was victorious, winning with a score of 7-5, 6-2. At No. 2, Telles won 6-2, 6-3. Boudreau (No. 3) defeated his Eagle opponent 6-1, 6-0. At the No. 4 spot, Engelstad blanked, winning with a final score of 6-0, 6-0. Gadke, No. 5, was victorious, winning 6-0, 6-1. In the No. 6 spot, Combs won 6-3, 6-4.

After this match, Engelstad has 118 victories throughout his career. He has now surpassed
