Eight Saints Named Men's ITA Scholar-Athletes

DULUTH, Minn. – Eight members of the St. Scholastica men's tennis team were recognized as Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar-Athletes for the 2025-26 academic year, the organization announced Wednesday.

Mateo Torre, Daniel Torres, Harper Dircks (Hopkins, Minn./Hopkins HS), Eamon Gerrard Stace, Drew Anderson (Hibbing, Minn./Hibbing HS), Andy Shaffer (Buffalo, Minn./Buffalo HS), Dane Patten (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) and Timon Herrmann (Karlsruhe, Germany/European School of Strasbourg) represented the Saints on the Division III Scholar-Athlete list.

To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, a student-athlete must hold a grade-point average of at least 3.50 during the current academic year and be listed on the institution's eligibility form.

A total of 1,151 NCAA Division III men's tennis players earned ITA Scholar-Athlete recognition for the 2025-26 academic year. For the full list of ITA Division III Men's Academic Awards, click here.
