csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's tennis team will compete in three matches in three days this weekend beginning with an Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) match against Martin Luther College on Friday and culminating with a pivotal non-conference match against the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse on Sunday.

This will be the conference opener for the Knights … Martin Luther has not played a match since February 26 and are 1-26 in their first 27 individual matches … The Knights finished tied for fourth in the league last season and return their top six players from a season ago, including No. 1 singles player Justin Marshall.
Northwestern Eagles

The Eagles are also coming off their Spring Break trip where they went 2-4, finishing with two wins over Penn State University-Berks and UMass-Boston … The team's No. 1 player CJ Lloyd is 8-7 on the year in singles action, while Landon Ridpath is 6-7 at the No. 2 spot … The Eagles are 12-31 in doubles play and 30-57 in singles action … Lloyd, Ridpath and Josh Kimball were All-UMAC selections last season.

The Eagles had their Spring Trip last week at the same facilities the Saints performed at … La Crosse went 5-1 on the trip … The Eagles and Saints both faced Lake Forest College (Ill.) … CSS won 5-4 over the Foresters, while the Eagles won 7-2 … The Eagles will face Bethel University on Saturday before taking on the Saints on Sunday … La Crosse is 72-18 in singles play and 31-14 in doubles action on the year … Kyle Wogahn is 7-3 at the No. 1 spot, while Kyle McGrane is 7-2 at the No. 2 spot … Both have teamed to go 5-3 at the No. 1 doubles spot.
