WHITE BEAR LAKE, Minn. (csssaints.com) -- The St. Scholastica's men's tennis team fell to the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse 8-1 Saturday evening at Lifetime Fitness.
Doubles:
The Eagles swept all three doubles matches against CSS. Two of the doubles team lost to a score of 8-5. The other team lost with a score of 8-2.
Singles:
Makar Grytsevych (Lviv, Ukraine/Lviv Linguistic Gymnasium (King)) earned the only win of the day for CSS with a score of 6-3 for his first set and a score of 6-2 for his second at the No. 2 spot. UMAC's Men's Tennis Player of the Week, Bryce Gadke (Marshfield, Wis./Marshfield HS) almost sent his singles match into a third set super-breaker. This would have been his third super-breaker of the season, but dropped a close second set to give the win to the Eagles' Joey Schneider.
