Logan Engelstad (Thief River Falls, Minn./Lincoln HS) was named the UMAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week, after his performances against Hamline and Concordia … Engelstad went 2-0 at No. 3 singles and 2-0 at No. 2 doubles.
Who's Streaking: The doubles team of
Tyler Bates (St. Cloud, Minn./St. Cloud Tech) and
Cody Mauston (Virginia, Minn./Virginia HS) are 4-0 this season with three wins coming at No. 3 and one at No.2.
Singles vs. Doubles: The Saints are 17-7 in singles matches and 9-3 in doubles play thus far this season.
Series History: Series tied 1-1
Last Meeting: The Saints fell to St. Olaf in 2011 by a score of 6-3 … The only other meeting was 2004, a 5-4 CSS victory.
St. Olaf College OlesRecord: 0-1 The Oles opened their season last Saturday and fell to No. 15 Luther College (Iowa) 5-4 … St. Olaf was picked to finish fourth in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) this season, but did receive one first place vote … The Oles advanced to MIAC Tournament title match last season and did not lose anyone from that team … The Oles are led by Stephen Nolan, who has racked up multiple All-MIAC honors in his career, and junior Joey Kronzer and Ben Carlson, who each earned All-Conference honors in 2014.
