DULUTH, Minn. -- St. Scholastica battled throughout but couldn't overcome a steady Rose-Hulman offense on Saturday evening, falling 64–53 at King Arena. Playing at a neutral site, the Saints put together several encouraging stretches—particularly early—with 24 first-half points to keep things tight.
Offensively,
Koy Nelson (Port Wing, WI/South Shore HS) led the Saints with 15 points, hitting two threes and providing a reliable scoring presence in the backcourt.
Davion Butler (South Phoenix, AZ/) contributed 12 points and a team-high 7 rebounds, showing strong effort on the glass and consistency at the free-throw line, where he went 7-for-8.
Cole Pride added 11 points, scoring efficiently around the rim and giving the Saints an interior spark, while Will McElheney added 7 points and 6 rebounds off the bench, helping steady St. Scholastica during key stretches.
Despite facing a Rose-Hulman team that shot well from the perimeter, the Saints stayed competitive late, out-rebounding the Fightin' Engineers on the offensive glass. The loss drops the Saints to 3-2 on the season.
Up next, they travel to Roseville, MN to take on the University of Northwestern on Tuesday, November 25. Tip off is scheduled for 7:00p.m.
