Edina, MN. - The CSS Women's golf team concluded their third tournament of the season this weekend at the St. Kate's Fall Invite. The two-day event consisted of two rounds of 18, one each day.
The team finished in 11th place, totaling a team score of 724 (358, 366, +148). St. Catherines A Team was able to take the win with a 585 (294, 284, +2) and St. Catherines B Team secured second place with a score of 601 (306, 295, +25).

Round One

Carissa Oberding (Cottage Grove, Minn./Park HS) lead the way for the Saints once again. Shooting 77 (+5) and sat in the T13 position. Oberding tallied two birdies in round one.

Maggie Lamppa (Hoyt Lakes, Minn./Mesabi East HS) shot the second-best round of the day with an 87 (+15) and finished in the T42 spot.

Emily Nystrom (Cambridge, Minn./Cambridge-Isanti HS) followed close behind Lamppa with a round of 91 (+19) and made one birdie in the round, she sat in the T50 position,

Olivia Martalock (Hermantown MN/Hermantown HS) and Kate Anderson (Mora, Minn./Mora HS) tallied the same score on day one, 103 (+31) respectively. This score put them tied for 55th.
Round Two

Carissa Oberding (Cottage Grove, Minn./Park HS) maintained the leading position for the Saints, despite dropping on the leaderboard after round two. She shot a second round of 86 (+14) and finished the tournament in T33 for a total score of 163 (+19).

Maggie Lamppa (Hoyt Lakes, Minn./Mesabi East HS) held down the second position for the Blue and Gold, shooting a round of 92 (+20), she ended the tournament in T49 with a total of 179 (+35)

Emily Nystrom (Cambridge, Minn./Cambridge-Isanti HS) knocked two strokes off on day two, shooting an 89 (+17), and finished in the solo 51st position. She concluded with a total of 180 (+36).

Olivia Martalock (Hermantown MN/Hermantown HS) also made advancements on the second day, knocking four strokes off for a 99 (+27) and remaining in the 55th position (202, +58).

Kate Anderson (Mora, Minn./Mora HS) closed out the tournament for the Saints with a 100 (+28) and finished in 56th (203, +59).

The Saints will conclude their fall regular season next weekend at the D3 Classic in Hastings, Minn. before heading to the MIAC Championships in two weeks. The D3 Classic will begin on Saturday, September 21, and end on Sunday, September 22.
