Sartell, Minn. - The Saint Scholastica Women's golf team wrapped up its first tournament of the season this afternoon at the CSB Invitational. The Saints had six golfers representing CSS this weekend in a two-day affair.
Overall, the team finished in 12th place, with a team score of 774. (404, 366)
How it Happened
Carissa Oberding (Cottage Grove, Minn./Park HS) led the way for the Saints this weekend, finishing with a final score of +23, placing her tied for 21st place for the tournament overall.
Maggie Lamppa (Hoyt Lakes, Minn./Mesabi East HS) and Emily Nystrom (Cambridge, Minn./Cambridge-Isanti HS) came in second and third place for the Saints this weekend. Lamppa finished her two rounds with a score of +40, as she finished in 58th place. Nystrom finished just a few shots behind Lamppa with a total score of +44, finishing tied for 61st place.
Freshman Kate Anderson (Mora, Minn./Mora HS) finished her first tournament as a Saint with a final score of +52, as she was able to place 67th this weekend.
Rounding out the scoring for the Saints women's golf team this weekend was Olivia Martalock (Hermantown MN/Hermantown HS) and Madelyn Morris, who competed as an individual. Martalock finished this weekend with a two round total score of +82, and Morris finished with a final score of +90, respectively.

The Saints Women's golf team will be back in action next weekend, for a two day tournament on Saturday, September 7 and wrapping up on Sunday, September 8. They will travel alongside the Men's team to Nemadji Golf Course in Superior, Wisconsin to take part in the Twin Ports Collegiate.
