DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica baseball program had two players earn D3baseball.com All-Midwest Region accolades; it was announced on Tuesday morning.
 
Junior catcher Kyle Oswald (Mahtomedi, Minn./Mahtomedi HS) was named First Team and graduate student outfielder Jake Schelonka (Sartell, Minn./Sartell HS) was named to the Third Team. Both earn All-Region nods for the first time in their careers.

This marks the first time since 2019 that a player from St. Scholastica has made the list on any team and 2017 was the last time a player was named First Team. The Saints have had 29 players selected All-Region by D3baseball.com since 2012.
 
Oswald earned All-MIAC honors for the first time and played in 32 games, starting 26 for the Saints. Oswald primarily played catcher and designated hitter where he hit .402, with 39 hits, eight doubles, two triples, three home runs, 25 runs, 27 RBI, and slugged .619 with a .468 on-base percentage.
 
Schelonka earned All-MIAC honors for the second consecutive season and started all 38 games for the Saints, where he led a majority of the offensive categories for his squad. Schelonka hit. 368 with 50 hits, 48 RBI, 41 runs, 12 doubles, three triples, and 10 home runs. He slugged .721 and had an on-base percentage of .433 and added 16 walks and 18 stolen bases.
