DULUTH, Minn. - The College of St. Scholastica men's tennis team played their final home match against non-conference opponent, the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
Doubles
The Saints would only be able to claim one point,
Dane Patten (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) and
Harper Dircks (Hopkins, Minn./) claimed the 8-6 win. Abeleda and Gerrard-Stace fell in a close match 8-7 (7-5).
Singles
Jonas Abeleda (Sydney, Australia/St Aloysius' College) earned the victory in three sets, while Patten the freshman saw a defeat in the No. 2 spot.
In the third spot,
Eamon Gerrard-Stace (Brisbane, Au./) was able to claim a point with a 6-2, 6-4 win.
Senior
Carter Anderson (Hibbing, Minn./Hibbing HS) played in the fourth spot, he lost 7-5, 6-2.
Reece Patten (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) battled with his opponent, win the first set 6-3, but the Blugold player bounced back.
Dircks had a close match, but fell 7-6 (7-4) and 7-5.

The Saints (11-8, 7-1) will play a tough match tomorrow, with Gustavus. After that match, the Saints will enter the MIAC Playoffs for the second straight season. It has not been officaly announced, but the Saints will look to be the No. 3 seed (their highest ranking in the MIAC).
