Orlando, Fla. - The College of St. Scholastica men's tennis team opened their spring break trip at USTA National Campus against Concordia Wisconsin. The Saints would see a 6-3 loss to the Falcons.
Doubles
The Falcons would manage two points in doubles play, while
Dane Patten (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) and
Julius Tabrizi (Frankfurt, Germany/Bischof-Neumann) would earn an 8-3 victory for a Saints' point.
Singles
The Saints would only be able to win in the No. 3 and No. 6 spots.
Eamon Gerrard-Stace (Brisbane, Au./) got the first set 6-2 but dropped the last two sets, 7-6 (7-3)
Dane Patten (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) managed his match with a 6-1, 7-5 win.
At the No. 5 slot,
Reece Patten (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) would battle with his opponent but fell 6-3, 6-7 (4-7), 1-0 (10-6)
At the last spot,
Harper Dircks (Hopkins, Minn./) picked up the 7-5, 7-6 (13-11) victory.
