BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) announced its Athlete of the Week award winners for basketball and hockey on Monday. Student-athletes from Concordia, Saint Benedict, St. Catherine, Saint Mary's, St. Olaf, and St. Scholastica claimed the Conference's weekly honors. The MIAC Athlete of the Week awards are nominated by the Conference's sports information directors and selected by MIAC staff.

Filimon Ledenkov (Polotsk, Belarus/Ostroshitsko-Gorodokskaya) has been named as the Offensive Men's Hockey Athlete of the Week; the conference announced on Monday afternoon. This is Ledenkov's first accolade of the season, but second weekly award of his career (1/16/2023).
Ledenkov recorded four goals and three assists over the Saints' latest four-game stretch. Ledenkov had a four-point night with two goals and two assists in a 5-2 win over Dubuque on 12/29 to notch his 100th collegiate point. In a series split with Concordia on 1/5-6, Ledenkov scored back-to-back goals in each contest, including an assist in a 6-3 victory on 1/6.
Ledenkov currently leads his team in points with 22 (6 goals, 16 assists) and is ranked first in the nation in assists per game with 1.15 and sixth in points per game with 1.62.
The Saints (11-2-0, 5-1-0) will play two non-conference games this weekend with University of Wisconsin-River Falls on Jan. 12 and University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire on Jan 13.
