Oberding Wins, Highlights Victorious Day for Women’s Golf

SUPERIOR, Wis. – The St. Scholastica women's golf team had a very successful day today in the final round of the Twin Ports Collegiate. Carissa Oberding (Cottage Grove, Minn./Park HS) walked away as the lowest scorer for the tournament, winning as an individual. The two teams CSS sent also had tremendous success, placing first and fourth in the invitational. 

 

Victory in Superior
Carissa Oberding (Cottage Grove, Minn./Park HS) was the tournament's lowest scorer this weekend, walking away with a first place finish, shooting a 73 today. 

Anna Lindemann (St. Michael, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville HS) finished second for the Saints this weekend, shooting a 79 in today's round. Emily Nystrom (Cambridge, Minn./Cambridge-Isanti HS) and Molly Arf (Spooner, Wis./Spooner HS) both finished this weekend with a total score of 174. Nystrom finished today with a score of 84, five shots better than yesterday's round. Arf finished today with a score of 82, which was nine shots better than her first round. 

Maggie Lamppa (Hoyt Lakes, Minn./Mesabi East HS) finished this weekend with a two-round score of 174. The sophomore shot a score today of 91. 

For the Saints other participants this weekend, Kathryn Kyle (Lake Nebagamon, Wis./Northwestern HS) finished this weekend with a score of 182, posting a score of 90 today. 

Olivia Hanson (Olivia, Minn./BOLD HS) and Kate Anderson (Mora, Minn./Mora HS) finished second and third for CSS Team B this weekend, as Hanson shot a two-round total of 187, shooting a 92 today, while Anderson finished with a total score of 198, shooting a score of 103 this afternoon. 

Rounding out the scoring for CSS, Lily Holtz (Austin, Minn./Austin HS) and Emma Burrows (Inver Grove Heights, Minn./Simley HS) finished in fourth and fifth for CSS Team B today. Holtz shot a second round score of 111, while Burrows shot a 118.
