CSS 3, Macalester 0

After reaching first on an error, Emma Bolin (Litchfield Park, Ariz./Millennium HS) put the first run on the board for the Saints off an RBI single to right field by Lauren Laviano (Maplewood, Minn./Mahtomedi HS). The score remained at a close 1-0 for majority of the game as CSS continued to shut down Macalester until the seventh inning when St. Scholastica put up two more runs. In the final inning, Payton Lang (Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville South HS) singled to third base and later scored off an RBI single to left center by Aryn Blumenthal (Linwood, Minn./Forest Lake HS). Blumenthal then scored off an RBI double to left center by Aislind Dail (Sumner, Wash./Sumner HS) .

At the plate for CSS, both Lang and Laviano went 2-3 at the plate. In the circle, Ashley Matejka (Oak Forest, Ill./Carl Sandburg HS) pitched a complete game and had three strikeouts.

CSS 1, Macalester 2

The two teams remained neck and neck through the first four innings at a 0-0 score. In the bottom of the fifth inning Macalester put up two runs on the Saints. It then remained a 2-0 game until the top of the seventh inning. Lavianio doubled to center field then Lizzie Gladitsch (North Branch, Minn./North Branch HS (Bethel)) came in to pinch run for her. Grace Hadlich (Stillwater, Minn./Mahtomedi HS) came in to hit for Maddison Blade (Prior Lake, Minn./Prior Lake HS) and had an RBI single to left field which scored Gladitsch and kept the Saints from a shutout. The Saints weren't able to at least tie up the score by the end of the inning so they were faced with a 2-1 loss.

At the plate for CSS the four hits came from Samantha Paniagua (Corona, Calif./Centennial HS), Laviano, Hadlich and Kari Breuer (White Bear Lake, Minn./White Bear Lake HS). In the circle, Haley Rosenthal (Mahtomedi, Minn./Mahtomedi HS) pitched the full six innings.
