Three Saints Earn MIAC Softball Postseason Recognition

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. -- The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) announced its 2026 postseason softball honors, with three members of the St. Scholastica softball team earning recognition following the 2026 season.

Freshman outfielder Kaylei Greene (San Bernardino, CA/Summit HS) earned MIAC Honorable Mention recognition after an impressive debut season for the Saints. Greene hit a team-best .361 while appearing in 31 games, recording 26 hits, 12 RBI and a .415 on-base percentage. She also posted a .973 fielding percentage with 39 putouts and 34 assists defensively.

Sophomore shortstop Katelyn Hackman (Oakdale, MN/Tartan HS) was also named MIAC Honorable Mention following a standout offensive season. Hackman batted .340 with a team-leading 11 doubles, four home runs and 27 RBI while posting a .557 slugging percentage. She started 30 games for the Saints and added 52 putouts and 85 assists defensively at shortstop.

Sophomore center fielder Sami Ernst (Forest Lake, MN./Forest Lake HS) rounded out the Saints honorees after starting 32 games during the 2026 campaign. Ernst hit .346 with a team-high 44 hits and 24 runs scored while adding 11 stolen bases. She also recorded a .952 fielding percentage while patrolling center field for the Saints.

The Saints concluded the 2026 season with an 8-32 overall record and a 2-20 mark in MIAC play, while continuing to build around a young core that featured multiple underclassmen earning conference recognition.
