csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's tennis team opened its spring break trip with an 8-1 setback to St. Lawrence University (N.Y.) on Monday.
Doubles
The lone doubles team to win was the No. 3 team of
Carter Anderson (Hibbing, Minn./Hibbing HS) and
Reece Patten (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS), who won by an 8-6 margin St. Scholastica's lone victory of the dual.
Singles
St. Lawrence (4-2) swept the six singles matches. St. Scholastica dropped two of those matches in super-breakers as
Elliot Schneider (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) fell at the No. 1 spot by scores of 6-2, 6-7 (4-7), (10-4) and
Giacomo Lucchesi (Lima, Peru/Santa Maria Marianistas) was defeated at the No. 4 spot by scores of 6-2, 4-6, (10-8).
