What you need to know about the Saints:
-The Saints dropped their recent doubleheader to No. 22 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater on Saturday.
-CSS was mostly held in check offensively, but on the hill,
Isaac Rocha (Owatonna, Minn./Owatonna HS) has one of the best starts of his career.
-Rocha fired seven innings allowing eight hits, two runs, and mixed in six strikeouts.
-Rocha is averaging more than 1.00 K/IP. He has 21 strikeouts on the season, while only pitching in 18 innings.

Brad Fossum (Sturgeon Lake, Minn./Moose Lake HS (Concordia-St. Paul)) went 2-for-4 at the plate for the Saints.

Aidan Zurn (Stillwater, Minn./Stillwater HS) got his first start of the season in game two going five and two-thirds inning of five run (three earned) run ball.

-In 2018, the Gophers made it to an NCAA super regional where they ended up falling to the eventual National Champions, Oregon State University.
-The Gophers lost only 15 games a season ago.
-The Gophers have replayed the Beavers two times already this season, losing both 13-1, 2-1
-Minnesota is 6-1 in their last seven, including 5-1 in B1G play, and a 9-3 win over fellow DIII school Augsburg University.
-Max Meyer leads the Gophers with a .312/.369/.351 slash line. Right behind him is Eli Wilson with a .306/.361/.439 line, and Jordan Kozicky with .299/.347/.552

-UWSP finished the 2018 season with a record of 24-14.
-The were voted to finish fourth in the WIAC preseason coaches' poll.
-The Pointers went 1-3 in their WIAC home opening series with the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse over the weekend.
-Seven players for UWSP have season batting averages over .300. Payton Nelson leads the way with a .415/.500/.615 slash line.
-The other six are Aaron Simmons (.362 BA), Tommy Duddleston (.345 BA), Nolan Matson (.333 BA), Bradley Comer (.318 BA), Kyle Mrozinski (.303 BA), and Weston Nelson (.300 BA)
-Simmons leads the team with three homeruns, four triples, and is third on the team with four doubles.
-Tristan Brewer has a 2-0 record with a 1.80 ERA in four appearances (three starts), holding opponents to a .220 batting average.

Series History: These teams have met 20 times since 1997, and UWSP has the advantage. The two teams split the first eight games from 1997-2006. Since then UWSP has controlled the series going 10-2 over CSS since 2007. With the win in 2016 the Saints snapped a six-game losing streak to UWSP.
