csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's basketball team will be on the road this week with a short trip across the bridge to face the University of Wisconsin-Superior on Thursday and then head to southern Minnesota to face Martin Luther College on Saturday.

What You Need to Know about the Saints:
-The Saints are coming off a solid road win at the University of Minnesota Morris on Saturday.
-The victory put the Saints above .500 for the first time this season.
-CSS has yet to win more three consecutive games this season, but have also not lost more than three consecutive games.
-With five league games remaining, the Saints are tied for third in the loss column with Crown College.
-After this week, the final three UMAC games will be against teams all currently in postseason position.
-Wednesday's game will be the 100
th career game for seniors
Brandon Newman (Barnum, Minn./Barnum HS) and
Nate Weets (Cloquet, Minn./Cloquet HS).
-Newman is 29 points shy of once again climbing the program's career scoring ladder to fourth all-time.
-He also needs just six more assists to reach 300 for his career.
-Sophomore
Jarod Wilken (Annandale, Minn./Annandale HS) has scored a season-high 21 points in each of the last two games.
-The St. Scholastica bench averages 28.1 points per game and put up at least 30 points in three of the last four games.
-A big part of that is
Collin Anderson (Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS), who leads the team in scoring, averaging 16.1 points per game.
-Anderson ranks 27
th in NCAA Division III, averaging 3.3, 3-pointers per game.
-The Saints are 7-2 (5-0 in UMAC play) this season when they shoot above 45 percent from the floor.
-CSS has the best scoring defense in the UMAC in league games, holding opponents to 72.3 points per game.
What You Need to Know about UW-Superior:
Record: 6-14, 4-7 UMAC
-The Yellowjackets have been playing well as of late, winners in four of their last five games.
-UWS is coming off a double overtime win over Martin Luther on Saturday.
-Superior has won four straight games at The Mertz.
-The Yellowjackets lead the conference, making 42 percent of their field goal attempts in league play.
-In overall games, they lead the conference making 40 percent from beyond the arc.
-The problem for Superior has been taking care of the ball as it ranks at the bottom with a -3.09 turnover margin per game.
-Montroy Scott and Mac Reykdal rank third and fourth in the conference in scoring, averaging 21.0 and 19.9 points per game respectively.

-The Knights have lost eight games in a row.
-However, something has to give Thursday when they travel to face North Central University (Minn.), who has lost 11 in a row.
-MLC averages a conference-low 62.9 points per game in league play.
-However in overall games, it leads the conference allowing only 72.7 points per game.
-The Knights also lead the conference, averaging 3.6 blocks per game.
-Ian Paulsen leads the UMAC with 38 blocked shots.
-Paulsen also leads the team in scoring at 10.8 points per game.
