2016 Saints Sports Awards Monday

DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The College of the St. Scholastica Athletics Department will hold its fourth annual Saints Sports Awards in the Reif Gymnasium on Monday night.

The Saints Sports Awards were established in 2013 to recognize all of St. Scholastica's 500-plus student-athletes' accomplishments throughout the year. The Oscar-like, formal atmosphere will feature pictures on the gold carpet, photo booths, videos and more. The Saints Sports Awards are for student-athletes, put together by student-athletes and, for the first time this year, hosted by student-athletes.

Monday's festivities will begin with a Senior Social beginning at 6 p.m. The Gold Carpet hour will go from 6:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. Nordic Skiing's Chris Parr and Harris Dirnberger will be the Master of Ceremonies to hand out awards for the Male/Female Rookie of the Tear, Male/Female Athlete of the Year, Male/Female Team of the Year, Male/Female Performance of the Year, Male/Female Game of the Year, Male/Female Career Achievement Awards, John Baggs Sportsmanship Award, Male/Female Scholar-Athlete, Berntson Blue and Gold Support Award and Humanitarian Award.
