DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The College of the St. Scholastica Athletics Department held its third Saints Sports Awards in the Reif Gymnasium on Monday night.
The men's soccer team collected three awards on the night as Ben Cullen was named the Male Athlete of the Year, Andrew Jenkins received the Male Career Achievement Award and the team itself was named Male Team of the Year. The women's track & field team were also big winners on the night as the team was named the Female Team of the Year. Becky Huberty received the Female Performance of the Year at the NCAA Indoor Championships and was also named the Female Career Achievement recipient.
The event began with the Senior Social beginning at 5:30 p.m. and then transitioned to the Gold Carpet hour from 6 p.m.-7 p.m. Northland News Center Sports Director Zach Schneider was once again the Master of Ceremonies as awards were handed out for the Male/Female Rookie of the Tear, Male/Female Athlete of the Year, Male/Female Team of the Year, Male/Female Performance of the Year, Male/Female Game of the Year, Male/Female Career Achievement Awards, John Baggs Sportsmanship Award, Male/Female Scholar-Athlete, Blue and Gold Support Award and Humanitarian Award.
