DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The College of the St. Scholastica Athletics Department held its second Saints Sports Awards in the Reif Gymnasium on Monday night.
The baseball team was the big winner collecting four awards on the evening, while women's cross country's
Chelsea Johnson and Men's Nordic Skiing's Paul Schommer picked up both Athlete of the Year awards as well as the new Performance of the Year awards.
The event began with the first Senior Social beginning at 5 p.m. and then transitioned to the Gold Carpet hour from 6 p.m.-7 p.m. Northland News Center Sports Director Zach Schneider was the Master of Ceremonies as awards were handed out for the Male/Female Rookie of the Tear, Male/Female Athlete of the Year, Male/Female Team of the Year, Male/Female Performance of the Year, Male/Female Game of the Year, Male/Female Career Achievement Awards, John Baggs Sportsmanship Award, Male/Female Scholar-Athlete, Blue and Gold Support Award and Humanitarian Award.
