Men's Track & Field Begins Season with "The Opener"




DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's track & field team began its indoor season on Saturday with "The Opener" at the Burns Wellness Fieldhouse.
 
Top Performances
Davon Bryant (Minneapolis, Minn., Eden Prairie HS) finished fourth in the 60m dash with a time of 7.35. Patrick Murphy (Forest Lake, Minn., Forest Lake HS) was eighth in that event, posting a time of 7.68.
 
Jacob Gallagher (Lisbon, N.D./Lisbon HS) was fourth in the 800m run, finishing in 2:11.12.
 
Evan White (Bemidji, Minn., Bemidji HS) placed sixth in the mile run at 5:04.15. Jordan Boser (Pierz, Minn., Pierz Healy HS) was sixth in the triple jump with a mark of 37'7.25" (11.46m).
 
Wyatt Helgeson (International Falls, Minn., Falls HS) was seventh in the pole vault, clearing 11'11.75" (3.65m).
 
Frank Cerar (Plainview, Minn./Plainview-Elgin-Millville HS) finished eighth in the 60m hurdles with a finishing time of 9.44. Cerar ran a 9.33 in prelims. Cerar was also eighth in the pole vault, clearing 11'5.75" (3.50m).
 
Up Next
The Saints are off until after the New Year when they will compete at the Super 8 Open, hosted by Bemidji State University, on Saturday, January 14.
