DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica baseball team will hold a Cancer Awareness Weekend sponsored by the American Cancer Society and Coaches vs. Cancer when it faces Crown College on Friday and Saturday at Wade Stadium.
Proceeds of the event will benefit St. Scholastica Athletics Administrative Assistant
Merissa Edwards and the American Cancer Society.
Edwards, a longtime employee of The College of St. Scholastica, was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of leukemia last summer. Edwards is a mother of twin boys and is married to a Duluth Firefighter.
The Saints will be wearing special orange jersey tops for the entire series and those jerseys can be bid on throughout the series via silent auction and given away at the conclusion of the series. Additional items will also be available for auction at the ballpark.
Friday's game will begin at 6 p.m., while Saturday's doubleheader will start at noon.
