DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica softball team will host the 2015 Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Tournament on Friday and Saturday at Kenwood Field.

The Saints will enter the UMAC Tournament on a three-game losing skid after falling to the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire on Sunday and then Gustavus Adolphus College in a doubleheader on Monday.

The Storm will be making their first UMAC Tournament appearance … Crown finished the regular season with five straight wins, including three critical victories over Martin Luther College to clinch a spot … The Storm were winless against the other UMAC Tournament teams this season in conference play, but defeated Minnesota Morris in a non-conference game … Crown has hit the second-most home runs in the conference this season with nine … Freshman Sofia Palacios leads the team with six homers and 34 RBIs … Fellow freshman Alisha Promis has a team-best .403 batting average … Junior Cearra Dulaney has eight of the team's 13 victories inside the pitching circle.
