DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica softball team will have four games over the next two days as it has a split road doubleheader on Tuesday and is back at home for two on Wednesday.

The Saints swept both Crown College and the University of Minnesota Morris over the weekend to extend its winning streak to 15 games … Nikki Logergren (Duluth, Minn./Duluth Denfeld HS (Northern Stars)) had three home runs and 10 RBIs in the four games … Micah McGuiness (Forest Lake, Minn./Forest Lake HS) added seven RBIs and a pitching win.
 
Unbeaten: The Saints have won 32 straight home games dating back to the 2011 season … The last loss at Kenwood Field was an 11-5 victory for Northland College on May 3, 2011 … CSS has also won 35 straight UMAC regular season games dating back to April 29, 2013 when Northland defeated the Saints 4-1 in Ashland, Wisconsin.
 
What a Week: Not only did Chrisi Mizera (Frankfort, Ill./Lincoln-Way East HS) throw the fifth perfect game in program history last Monday, but she also struck out a career-high 14 Minnesota Morris batters on Saturday … Last week, Mizera picked up four wins, didn't allow a run and struck out a total of 32 … She has a scoreless inning streak of 29.1.
 
On the Verge of Another UMAC Crown: With six conference games remaining, the Saints hold a five-game lead in the loss column over second place Minnesota Morris … CSS have already swept all three games from Morris already, so they can clinch the No. 1 seed and a share of the regular season crown with one win and can capture the regular season title outright with two more wins.
 
Streaks/Trends: Junior Kasandra McCabe (St. Peter, Minn./St. Peter HS) saw her season-best hitting streak end at 14 games on Saturday … Logergren has reached base safely in 22 straight games … Senior Emily Schiro (Brooklyn Park, Minn./Armstrong HS) is currently on a 10-game hitting streak … CSS is 21-2 when it out-hits its opponents, but are 0-8 when it gets out-hit.
 
Top of the UMAC: Mizera leads the conference with 13 wins and a 2.30 earned run average … McCabe and Logergren are tied for the league lead with five home runs … Warren has thrown out a UMAC best 11 base stealers.

The Eagles won three of their four games over the weekend, sweeping Bethany Lutheran College and splitting with Martin Luther College … Northwestern currently sits in third place in the conference and has a three-game lead over fourth-place Martin Luther and a game back of second place Minnesota Morris … The Eagles are second in the conference in hits (251) and doubles (44) and lead the league in walks (107) … Sophomore Jennifer Ankrom leads the team with .400 hitting average and 32 RBIs … Lauren Silbernick leads the team six wins and has thrown the most innings (127) in the UMAC this season.
 
North Central University Rams
Record: 2-20, 1-16 UMAC
 
The Rams' lone conference win came against Northwestern last Tuesday by a 9-7 score … The team's other win came in the season opener over Maranatha Baptist … Offensively, freshman Amanda Roth leads the conference with a .470 average … She also leads the conference with four triples and has hit four home runs … She has one of the team's two wins inside the pitching circle and leads the team with 20 strikeouts.  
 
Northland College LumberJills
Record: 8-21, 6-9 UMAC
 
The LumberJills split both doubleheaders over the weekend against Minnesota Morris and Crown … Northland will also play Northwestern and North Central on Tuesday in the Twin Cities … The LumberJills are battling with Martin Luther and Crown for the fourth UMAC Tournament spot … They are tied in the loss column with the Knights and a game up on Crown … However, they would lose the tiebreaker to both teams … Junior Kaitlyn Witthun leads the team with .378 batting average, while sophomore Crystal Diaz leads the team with 27 RBIs … Carolyn Malecha has hit a team-high three home runs … Diaz has five of the team's eight wins in the pitching circle and has recorded 58 strikeouts.
