DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica baseball team will be back on the road this weekend when it faces the University of Minnesota Morris for a three-game Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) series.

Colvard Consistent: In 17 games this season, junior Austin Colvard (Little Canada, Minn./Roseville HS) has hit safely in 16 of them with the exception being against the La Roche College (Pa.) down in Florida on March 12 … Colvard is currently on an 11-game hitting streak and has reached base in all 17 games this season and is at 36 games overall dating back to last season.
 
Bernsdorf on a Roll: Sophomore Trevor Bernsdorf (Meadowlands, Minn./Floodwood HS (Doane) ) is currently on a 13-game hitting streak after starting the season 0-for-15 … Bernsdorf was named the UMAC Player of the Week on Tuesday after recording 10 RBIs in five games last week … He leads the UMAC with 19 RBIs.
 
Wood Pitching Well: With his victory on Tuesday, junior Daniel Wood (Canyon, Minn./South Ridge HS ) improved to 4-0 this season and has a 0.60 earned run average in 30 innings … Wood has allowed only two earned runs all season and opponents are hitting .176 … He ranks in the top 25 of NCAA Division III in earned run average, walks allowed per nine innings (0.39), strikeout-to-walk ratio (12) and WHIP (0.61).
 
Career Day for Marolt: Junior infielder Al Marolt (Lino Lakes, Minn./Centennial HS) had a career-high three hits and four RBIs in Tuesday's 11-2 victory over Northland College
