MENOMONIE, Wis. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's track & field team took part in the University of Wisconsin-Stout Open on Saturday.
Luke McKenzie (Taylors Falls, Minn./Chisago Lakes HS) won the 800m run for the second straight week, finishing in 1:59.51.
Corey Anderson (Duluth, Minn./Hermantown HS) won the triple jump with a mark of 42'3.5" (12.89m). He was also third in the high jump, clearing 5'10.75" (1.80m).
Jeremy Peterson (Hermantown, Minn./Hermantown HS) was runner-up in the weight throw with a program-record toss of 54'9.25" (16.69m). The 4x400m relay team of
Aaron Egelkraut (Forest Lake, Minn./Forest Lake HS),
Mason Gracia (Houston, Texas/Prior Lake HS),
Cody Brostrom (Ham Lake, Minn./Blaine HS) and
Tony Anselmo (Bigfork, Minn./Bigfork HS ) was second with a time of 3:37.77.
Jacob Gallagher (Lisbon, N.D./Lisbon HS) was third in the 3000m run, recording a time of 9:45.27.
Kevin Wagner (Cleveland, Minn./Cleveland HS) was fourth in the long jump with a personal-best mark of 21'3.5" (6.49m).
The Saints will be in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan next Saturday taking part in the Northern Challenge, hosted by Northern Michigan University.
