ResultsMORRIS, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's tennis team won its 10th straight dual match with a 9-0 shutout of the University of Minnesota Morris on Sunday.
The Saints won matches at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles by forfeit to start the contest. In the other two doubles matches,
James Mack (Portsmouth, England/Cams Hill School) and
Nick Lambrecht (Stacy, Minn./North Branch HS (Minn.-Duluth)) at the No. 1 spot won 8-1. The No. 2 team of
Cullen Combs (White Bear Lake, Minn./White Bear Lake HS) and
Cody Mauston (Virginia, Minn./Virginia HS) won by shutout 8-0.
In singles play, Mack won at the No. 1 spot 6-1, 6-1. Lambrecht at No. 2 and Combs at No. 3 both blanked their opponents 6-0, 6-0.
Tyler Bates (St. Cloud, Minn./St. Cloud Tech) won at the No. 4 spot 6-1, 6-0 and
Dan Mauro (Thunder Bay, Ontario/St. Ignatius HS) at No. 5 was the final winner by scores of 6-0, 6-2.
The Saints (14-3, 4-0 UMAC) will be at home on Tuesday when they face Martin Luther College in the Burns Wellness Fieldhouse.
