PREVIEW: Men's Tennis Plays La Crosse Sunday

DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's tennis team will face the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in Rochester on Sunday at the Rochester Tennis Connection at 3 p.m.

St. Scholastica Saints
Record:

Head Coach: Wells Patten
- The Saints are coming off a 9-0 victory over Concordia College (Minn.) last Sunday.
-Freshmen of led the way for CSS early on in singles play as Logan Engelstad (Thief River Falls, Minn./Lincoln HS) and Alex Mihailov (Bucharest, Romania/Gheorghe Sincai National College) both are 5-1 this season.
-Nick Lambrecht (Stacy, Minn./North Branch HS (Minn.-Duluth)) has four wins, with three coming at the top two flights.
-The Saints are 5-1 at No. 6 singles
-James Mack (Portsmouth, England/Cams Hill School) and Josh Stainer (Portsmouth, England/South Downs College) are 5-1 at No. 1 doubles.
-CSS is 13-5 in doubles play this season.

University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Eagles
Record: 4-2
Head Coach: Bill Hehli
-The Eagles snapped a two-match losing streak with a 9-0 victory over Cornell (Iowa) last Saturday.
-The two losses this season have come against regionally-ranked Coe (Iowa) and Carthage (Wis.).
-Tony Mirasola leads the Eagles in singles play with a 5-1 record. All of the wins have come at the top three flights.
-All three doubles spots have a 4-2 record, led by the No. 1 team of Mirasola and Peter Stadum with a 5-1 record overall.
Series History: (CSS is 0-4 vs. UW-La Crosse)
-The Saints fell 9-0 last season to the Eagles down in Madison, Wis.
