ST. PETER, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's tennis team lost 9-0 to 18th-ranked Gustavus Adolphus College Saturday afternoon.
On the doubles side the Gusties swept the Saints. The No.1 and No. 3 teams both fell 8-4. In the No. 2 spot, the Gusties were victorious 8-2.
In singles play, the Gusties (3-1) won in straight sets at four of the six flights.
Logan Engelstad (Thief River Falls, Minn./Lincoln HS) and
Alex Mihailov (Bucharest, Romania/Gheorghe Sincai National College) both split sets pushing to a third set super breaker. In the No. 3 spot, Engelstad lost 0-6, 6-2, (10-1). As well, in the No. 6 spot Mihailov lost 5-7, 6-2, (10-8).
The Saints (3-2) will play Concordia College-Moorhead tomorrow at the Arrowhead Tennis Center in Duluth at 3 p.m.
