DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's tennis team will travel to St. Peter to take on Gustavus Adolphus on Saturday and then travel back to Duluth to play Concordia College-Moorhead on Sunday at the Arrowhead Tennis Center.

-The Saints are coming off a close win over Carleton College (5-4) and a shutout of Ripon College (9-0) last Sunday.
-Saints doubles went undefeated last weekend, along with the No. 3 and No. 6 singles spots.

Logan Engelstad (Thief River Falls, Minn./Lincoln HS) was named the UMAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week, after going 2-0 in singles and doubles action.
-Engelstad is 4-0 in singles action, winning a match at four of the six singles flights.
-The No. 1 doubles team of
Josh Stainer (Portsmouth, England/South Downs College) and
James Mack (Portsmouth, England/Cams Hill School) is a perfect 4-0 this season.

#18 Gustavus Adolphus College Gusties

-Gustavus is ranked 18th in the national Division III Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) poll.
-The Gusties fell in the third round of last year's NCAA Division III Tournament.
-The Gusties are coming off a 6-3 loss to No. 4 Washington University-St. Louis.
-Gustavus defeated Carthage College (Wis.) in its season opener 9-0.
-Gustavus will play UW Eau Claire before playing the Saints and Hamline University after on Saturday.
-The Gusties are predicted to win the MIAC this season, according to the preseason coaches' poll.
-Gustavus is led by Mya Smith-Dennis who was an ITA All-American in both singles and doubles last season. However, Smith-Dennis will be without doubles partner Amrik Donkena, who finished his career with 67 singles wins and 85 doubles victories.
-All-MIAC performers Grant Leisner and Joey MacGibbon also return.

Concordia College Cobbers

-The Cobbers are coming off a loss to Hamline University (6-3).
-Last year, the Cobbers went 4-13 overall and 1-8 in the MIAC.
-Zach Zitur, the team's leader in singles wins in 2013, is back.
-However, the Cobbers need to replace their top singles and doubles player from a season ago in Brian Olson.
-Concordia has been picked to finish last in the MIAC this season, according to the preseason coaches' poll.
-The Cobbers will play St. Cloud State on Saturday before playing the Saints on Sunday.
