DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's basketball team begins Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) play on Tuesday when it hosts Northland College at the Reif Gymnasium. Tip-off is scheduled for approximately 7:30 p.m., following the women's game.

- The Saints go into conference coming play off of a close 74-71 victory at Finlandia on January 4th. The Saints had a balanced attack in the win with three players in double figures, led by
Trevor Morlock (Rogers, Minn./Rogers HS (Minn., Crookston))'s 12-point, 13-rebound effort.
- Morlock's double-double against Finlandia was his fourth of the season. His 8.3 rebounds per game are tops in the UMAC.
- As a team, the Saints are the fourth highest scoring team in the conference at 67.1 points per game, but allow the third-most at 79.4 points per game.
- Turnovers and free throws have been hurting the Saints for most of the season, as they have committed an average of 16.8 turnovers a game and shooting 62 percent from the charity stripe.
- The Saints did make a season-high 18 free throws in the win at Finlandia.
- The Saints were picked to finish fourth in the league, according to the preseason coaches' poll.

- Northland's last game was also against Finlandia which resulted in an 83-60 loss on January 7th.
- Carnell Sheppard leads the LumberJacks offensively with a 16.9 points per game average. Zach Ringhouse and Sean Augustyn have also been averaging double figures with 12.4 and 11.3 points per game respectively.
- Sheppard is fourth in the UMAC in terms of scoring.
- Tyler Peterson is tops in the UMAC in 3-point percentage, as he is shooting 50 percent from long range.
- The Jacks as a team are 22nd in NCAA Division III in 3-point field goals per game (9.5).
