Men’s Tennis Falls to Saint John’s

SARTELL, Minn. (csssaints.com) –The St. Scholastica men's tennis team fell 7-2 to Saint John's University in a non-conference match on Tuesday, ending its six-match winning streak.

In the No.3 singles spot, Nick Lambrecht (Stacy, Minn./North Branch HS (Minn.-Duluth)) came away victorious by scores of 6-2, 6-3. In the No. 6 spot, Mike Fontana (Hibbing, Minn./Hibbing HS (Gustavus Adolphus)) was the only other winner for the Saints by scores of 7-6 (7-5), 6-4.

CSS is now 17-8 overall, while St. Johns is 6-11 overall.

The Saints look to clinch another UMAC regular season championship when they face Northwestern College at the Arrowhead Tennis Center in Duluth on Saturday. The action begins at 3 p.m.
