Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 DULUTH, Minn. – The St. Scholastica baseball team remains undefeated in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) as it finished a series sweep over Crown College with a pair of victories, 15-5 and 12-2, Saturday afternoon at Wade Stadium.

In game one, the Saints jumped out to a 10-1 lead after three innings and never looked back as they plated five runs in the sixth inning to win the game 15-5 in seven innings. 

Ben Grieger (Waverly, Iowa/Waverly-Shell Rock HS) had a strong appearance on the mound for the Saints as he pitched four hitless innings while fanning five batters in earning the win.  Three other Saints came into relieve as the bullpen combined to give up only three hits in the game. 

Offensively, the Saints were led by Parker Olson (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS (Minn.-Duluth)), Kyle Flagstad (Hinckley, Minn./Hinckley-Finlayson HS), Jake Casareto (International Falls, Minn./Falls HS), and Shayne Ciernia (Eagan, Minn./Breck HS ) with two hits apiece and the four combined for five runs scored.  As a team the Saints had twelve hits and were walked nine times.

In game two, the Saints would score eight runs in four innings while holding Crown (2-21) scoreless until the sixth inning where Crown scored two runs, only to have the Saints score four in the bottom of the inning.  The Saints would cruise to a 12-2 victory.

Kyle Jensen (Wyoming, Minn./Forest Lake HS) picked up his fourth win of the year, fanning four batters and only giving up one hit     in nine batters faced.  The bullpen gave up the only two runs coming off of four hits. 

Offensively the Saints were led by Andy Schwantes (Lakeville, Minn./Apple Valley HS (Minn.-Duluth)) with three hits.  Two other players had two hits apiece for CSS as well.  As a team, the Saints had 16 total hits and were only walked three times.  The Saints only struck out twice as a team on the day.
