Box Score DULUTH, Minn. – In just his third season Head St. Scholastica Baseball Coach Corey Kemp recorded his 100th victory on Friday night with a 10-0 win over Crown College at Wade Stadium.

In three seasons as head coach, since taking over for the late John Baggs, Kemp won 38 games his first season and then 37 last year. He is on his way to another 30-win season this year.

In relatively chilly and blustery conditions this evening, Kyle Moody (Maple Grove, Minn./Osseo HS ) had a RBI triple in the bottom of the first to give CSS an early 1-0 lead. Moving to the second inning, Andy Schwantes (Lakeville, Minn./Apple Valley HS (Minn.-Duluth)) and Jesse Heaton (Heyworth, Ill./Bloomington Central Catholic HS ) each had RBI singles and Moody cleared the bases with a bases loaded double to make it 6-0.

Jake Casareto (International Falls, Minn./Falls HS) led off the bottom of the third with a home run to left center and two batters later Parker Olson (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS (Minn.-Duluth)) hit his first collegiate home run, a two-run shot over the right field wall, to make it 9-0.

The 10th and final Saints run of the game came on a Jordan O'Neill (Blaine, Minn./Totino-Grace HS) RBI single in the sixth to plate Tom Spaniol (St. Joseph, Minn./St. Cloud Cathedral HS ). The Storm (2-19, 1-15 UMAC) tried to extend the game in the seventh with a runner at third, but Alex Oachs (Saginaw, Minn./Proctor HS ) struck out the final batter to make the final 10-0 in seven innings.

Joel Wuorio (Two Harbors, Minn./Two Harbors HS) had the start for CSS and pitched three innings, allowing just two hits to earn the win. AJ Nelson (Mooresville, N.C./Mooresville HS ) followed with two innings and also allowed just two hits, while striking out two. Jake Snyder (Duluth, Minn./Duluth Central HS) and Oachs each pitched a scoreless inning.

Moody registered four RBIs on two hits to extend his hitting streak to 15 consecutive games. Kyle Jensen (Wyoming, Minn./Forest Lake HS) was 3-for-3 with two runs scored.

The Saints (25-9, 16-0 UMAC) and Storm will conclude their series tomorrow with a doubleheader at Wade Stadium, beginning at noon. It will be Senior Day and final regular season home contests this season.
