The St. Scholastica baseball team travels to Aberdeen, South Dakota to take on the Presentation Saints for a three game series this weekend after a brief non-conference stint.

Last Action:  The Saints were last in action in Whitewater on Tuesday where they split a doubleheader with the 20th ranked UW-Whitewater Warhawks winning 5-4 in 10 innings and dropping game two 4-2.

St. Scholastica Saints (21-9, 12-0 UMAC)
The Saints return to UMAC play after a big split with a tough regional team in UW-Whitewater further proving CSS is a threat in the region… They will have one more chance with a game at St. Thomas at the end of the season but have nine games in the UMAC remaining before that point… The Saints continue to be led this season by Kyle Flagstad (Hinckley, Minn./Hinckley-Finlayson HS) and Kyle Moody (Maple Grove, Minn./Osseo HS )… Flagstad leads the team with a .420 batting average, .783 slugging percentage, seven triples and six stolen bases… Moody is tops on the team with 30 RBIs, 26 runs scored, 34 hits, 10 doubles and two home runs… Jake Nystrom (Fargo, N.D./Fargo North HS) continues to have success on the mound with a 2.59 earned run average and 35 strikeouts in 34.1 innings pitched… Nystrom is tied for most wins on the team with Mickie Keuning (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS (Angelo State)) at four… Opponents are batting just .173 against Keuning who has a no-hitter this season.

Presentation Saints (11-18, 7-6 UMAC)
Although the Saints are seven games under .500 they sit in fourth place in the UMAC behind CSS, Northwestern and Bethany Lutheran… Heath Giedt leads the team with a .360 batting average and 40 hits on the season… Giedt and Tyson Paulson are tied with 29 RBIs for tops on the team and Paulson is best with 10 doubles and two home runs…Sam Heintzman leads the team on the mound with a 2.80 earned run average, four wins and 36 strikeouts in 45 innings pitched… Paulson is right behind Heintzman with 35 strikeouts in 44.1 innings pitched… However, Heintzman is the only pitcher who is holding opponents to a batting average under .300.
