DULUTH, Minn. – The St. Scholastica men's and women's tennis teams will be playing their final matches before spring break this weekend when they head to southern Wisconsin to face Concordia University (Wis.) and Edgewood College (Wis.).

Concordia Falcons (0-3)
The Falcons are off to a 0-3 start this season with losses to Carroll University (Wis.), Lawrence University (Wis.) and Saint Mary's … Concordia went 14-10 last season, including 10-0 in the Northern Athletics Conference and won the NAC Tournament … Skip Turner has two of the three wins on the year for the Falcons and both came at No. 2 singles … Concordia has yet to win a doubles match this season.

Friday's matchup with the Saints will be the first of the spring season for the Falcons … Concordia went 10-1 during the fall season, capturing a share of the Northern Athletic Championship … The doubles team of Meagan Harrington and Julie Spransy won the NAC doubles title in the Individual Tournament in the fall … … The team conference tournament will take place at the beginning of may with the Falcons as the No. 2 seed … Harrington and Spransy went 13-1 during the fall as the Falcons were 25-8 as a team … In singles action, Harrington was 12-3, while Spransy was 11-3 … Jaclyn Ward was 13-1 in singles action and Concordia was 52-14 overall.

This will be the Eagles' third match of the spring season … Edgewood also captured a share of the NAC regular season title in the fall with a 10-1 conference mark … They will be the No. 3 seed in the team tournament in May … So far this spring, the Eagles fell to Saint Mary's, but defeated Martin Luther … Edgewood has three players with 11 singles wins on the year and they are Shae Beckwith, Kristen Boone and Taylor Storbakken … As a team, Edgewood is 62-40 … In doubles play, the team of Storbakken and Boone lead the way with 11 wins … The team of Beckwith and Laura Olson were runner-up at the NAC Individual Tournament in the fall.
