Last Action: The Saints didn't finish last weekend how they wanted.  With a chance to move into first place the Saints dropped back to back games vs. UW-Stevens Point 2-1 and sixth-ranked St. Norbert 3-1.

#13 St. Scholastica Saints (12-7-4, 7-5-4 NCHA)
Even after being swept last weekend the Saints still have a chance to earn the second seed in the NCHA Peters Cup…  St. Scholastica controls its own fate as they can clinch the two seed with a sweep this weekend, or a win over River Falls and a River Falls loss to UW-Superior on Saturday AND a UW-Stevens Point loss this weekend… Brett Corcoran (Parksville, British Columbia/Ballenas Secondary (Trail Smoke-BCHL) ) is still the team leader as he has been all season with 30 points on 15 goals and 15 assists… Corcoran also leads the conference in total points… Despite missing four games with an injury, Jeremy Dawes (Winnipeg, Manitoba/College Jeanne Suave (Portage-MJHL) ) is still in a tie for second on the team with 23 points on 10 goals and 13 assists… Tied with Dawes is Tyler Miller (Fort Frances, Ontario/Rainy River HS (Thunder Bay-SIJHL) ) with eight goals and 15 assists… Carter Davis (Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan/Central Collegiate (Waywayseecappo-MJHL) ) is the fourth and final player with 20+ points at 21 on eight goals and 13 assists… Colin Rundell (Tees, Alberta/Lacombe Composite (Alaska-Fairbanks) ) has made 504 saves this season in goal earning a record of 9-7-4.

#8 UW-River Falls Falcons (15-6-2, 9-5-2 NCHA)
The Falcons jumped out to an outstanding 10-0-2 start and have been ranked ever since…  After getting swept by St. Scholastica in mid-January the Falcons bounced back and have won three of their last four including an overtime victory at St. Norbert…Justin Brossman leads the team with 26 points on 10 goals and 16 assists… Right behind him is Jason Yuel with 24 points on six goals and a team and conference best 18 assists… The Falcons also have four players with 20+ points as Geoff Shewmake and Adam Cardwell round out the top four with 22 points a piece… Scott Lewan has been the goaltender on record for every game this season with a goals against average of 2.52 and a conference leading 623 saves.

Last Meeting: (CSS All-Time Record vs. UW-River Falls: 38-58-5)
The Saints and Falcons met in Duluth last month where the Saints swept the weekend 3-2 and an outstanding 7-1.  The Saints had 13 players earn at least a point in the second game.

UW-Eau Claire Blugolds (11-10-2, 5-10-1 NCHA)
It's been a season of streaks for the Blugolds as they followed up a five-game unbeaten streak with a current four-game losing streak...  After suffering tough one goal losses on the road vs. top ten teams in St. Norbert and UW-River Falls the Blugolds returned home and got shutout by last place UW-Stout… With four games left the Blugolds are assured to play on the road in the first round of the Peters Cup with the possibility of being the bottom seed as UW-Stout is just two points behind them… Tyler Romasco leads the team with 16 points in an unconventional way with just one goals and 15 assists…Ross Anderson leads the team with 10 goals and is third with 13 points… Brandon Stephenson has gotten the majority of the starts in goal this season on his way to a .500 8-8-2 record with a 2.26 goals against average… Eau Claire will host UW-Superior on Friday before the Saints come to town.

Last Meeting: (CSS All-Time Record vs. UW-Eau Claire: 22-44-6)
The Saints and Blugolds played early in the season in a home-and-home series where the home team won both nights.  Eau Claire came out on top in game one 5-1 and the Saints defended their home ice the next night with a 2-1 victory.
