Last Action: The Saints had an offensive explosion scoring 10 total goals in a weekend series with #4 UW-River Falls winning 3-2 on Friday and 7-1 on Saturday.  Tyler Miller (Fort Frances, Ontario/Rainy River HS (Thunder Bay-SIJHL) ) and Jeremy Dawes (Winnipeg, Manitoba/College Jeanne Suave (Portage-MJHL) ) both had four total points on the weekend.

#14 St. Scholastica Saints (11-5-3, 6-3-3 NCHA)
After beginning the New Year with a 1-2-1 record the Saints are now on a three-game win streak.  The Saints have scored an outstanding 14 goals in the three game stretch while only allowing six.  A big reason for that is the play of goaltender Colin Rundell (Tees, Alberta/Lacombe Composite (Alaska-Fairbanks) ).  During the winning streak Rundell's goals against average has dropped from 2.89 to 2.71 and his save percentage has gone from .899 to .903 while improving his record to 8-5-3.  Brett Corcoran (Parksville, British Columbia/Ballenas Secondary (Trail Smoke-BCHL) ) continues to lead the team and conference with 14 goals and is tied for the conference lead with 26 points.  Dawes and Miller are now hot on his tail now after a great weekend as Dawes has 23 points and Miller has 22 including a team best 15 assists.  Carter Davis (Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan/Central Collegiate (Waywayseecappo-MJHL) ) has 20 points and rounding out St. Scholastica's top five is defenseman Austin Brown (Lathrup Village, Mich./Legacy HS (Woodstock-MJAHL) ) with 18 points.

UW-Superior Yellowjackets (8-8-3, 3-6-3 NCHA)
After a hot start to a season with a lot of promise, the Yellowjackets are now on a five game winless streak in which four of those games were losses.  The 'Jackets look to bounce back down the stretch on the shoulders of Pat Dalbec who leads the team by far with 20 total points on 13 goals and seven assists.  Kyle Leahy is second on the team with 12 total points on three goals and nine assists.  Drew Strandberg has been the goaltender on record for most of UW-Superior's games earning a .500 record of 7-7-1 with a .902 save percentage.

Trivia: The Saints are currently on a six-game winless streak vs. Superior.  Last victory was 12-10-2010 in Superior 3-1.

Last Meeting: (CSS All-Time Record vs. UW-Superior: 33-76-8)
The Saints hosted the Yellowjackets earlier this season.  The first game ended in a 4-4 tie when Miller scored the game with 16 seconds left in regulation.  UW-Superior left Saturday night with a 4-2 victory in game two.

UW-Stout Blue Devils (7-11-1, 3-8-1 NCHA)
The Blue Devils also began their season hot winning four of their first five games before going winless in seven of their next eight contests.  Stout does still have time for a turnaround to their season to earn a high seed due to the competitiveness in the NCHA as they are only four points behind what would be fourth seeded UW-Eau Claire.  Branden Gay leads the Blue Devils offensively with in all three categories with 10 goals and 12 assists equaling out to 22 points.  Mike Hartviksen is second on the team with 17 points and the rest of the top five is behind him in succession with 16, 15 and 14 points.  Tom Lescovich and Nick Hopper have split time in goal this season.  Lescovich has a 4-7-0 record while Hopper has a 3-4-1 record and a .917 save percentage.

Last Meeting: (CSS All-Time Record vs. UW-Stout: 14-22-4)
The Saints and Blue Devils met in Duluth in December this season for a weekend series.  The first game was an offensive explosion as the Saints came away with an 8-6 victory.  Game two was a little more hard-nosed as the two teams tied 3-3.
