The Saints cruised through the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Tournament last week, going 3-0 and winning the tournament title for the 15th time in a row. CSS defeated Bethany Lutheran College 26-2 in the championship game.
No. 3 Seed-St. Scholastica Saints (35-5, 20-1 UMAC)
The Saints enter the regional tournament playing their best ball of the season, having won 21 of their last 22 games, including their last eight in a row … CSS is ranked seventh in National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA)/D3baseball.com poll … This will be the program's eighth NCAA Tournament appearance and the seventh consecutive … The Saints went undefeated through the UMAC Tournament last week for the first time since the 2008 season, which was when the Saints made it all the way to the regional final … Four of the Saints' five losses this season have come by just one run … In three of those four losses, the game-winning run was unearned … CSS has outscored teams 399-122 this year and have scored 10 or more runs 22 times … The Saints are 11-0 when they hit at least one home run …

Joe Link (Woodbury, Minn./Woodbury HS) broke the single-season program record with his 41st stolen bases in the UMAC Championship game … Link is 41-for-41 on the base paths this year … Freshman
Andy Davis (Chippewa Falls, Wis./McDonell HS ) is starting to come on after being slowed by injury for most of the season … Davis has won his last two decisions, including pitching six scoreless innings in the UMAC Tournament Championship game … With Davis, the Saints have four quality starters.

Notables: The Tommies, who struggled at the beginning of the season, won 19 of their final 22 games … St. Thomas had to get an at-large bid into the NCAA Regional Tournament after falling to Hamline in the MIAC Tournament on Sunday … J.D. Dorgan leads the team with a .390 batting average … Dorgan and Drew Cremisino both have a team-high five home runs … Taylor Rahm leads with 36 RBIs … Kris Edwards is the ace of the Tommie staff, but has been primarily been used out of the bullpen until recently … Bryce Gapinski has a team-high six victories.

Notables: For the second consecutive season, the Spartans earned the automatic qualifier for winning NAC Tournament and will be making their 19th NCAA Regional appearance overall … Aurora is led by core of veterans, including junior outfielder Josh Davidson, senior second baseman Anthony Amedei and sophomore pitcher Drew Gay … Davidson leads the Spartan offense with a .435 batting average with 70 total hits, a school-record 62 singles, 35 runs batted in and a school record 37-of-42 in stolen bases … Adams is hitting .379 with nine doubles, and 36 RBIs … Amedei is hitting .330 with 40 runs scored, 34 RBIs, 11 doubles, three triples and three home runs … Gay is the leader of the Spartan pitching staff with a 7-2 record and a 2.82 earned run average … In 70-1/3 innings pitched, he has struck out 56.
