DULUTH, Minn. – The continuation of the series between the top two teams in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC), St. Scholastica and Bethany Lutheran College, is renewed in the 2011 edition this weekend. The series has been switched to Mankato due to Wade Stadium not being ready yet.

The preseason pick to finish second in the UMAC has opened up their season strong with a 9-3 record, including four straight wins to open up conference play … Darin Hendley had an outstanding game against Martin Luther College this past weekend where he went 5-for-5 with two home runs, three doubles and five RBIs … Hendley is also leading the everyday starters with a .429 batting average … Justin Kohls picked up his third win on the year over the weekend to put him at 3-0 overall with a 1.89 ERA …All-American last year and 2011 preseason All-American pitcher Cody Hallahan is 2-1 on the year with a 1.57 ERA and 17 strikeouts and only one walk … The Vikings have a team ERA of 3.35, while their opponents have a 6.99 ERA.
