The Saints split a pair of games with Washington University of St. Louis, Missouri on Monday. CSS won the first game 10-5 behind four, first inning runs including CSS' first home run of the year off the bat of #Joe Link#. #David Vogelgesang# and #Jake Nystrom# picked up the win and save, respectively, in game one. The Saints would fail to win their first three games of the season as Wash U picked up the game two win by a final score of 3-2. The Bears built a 3-0 lead after two and never looked back.
St. Scholastica Saints (2-1, 0-0 UMAC)
The Saints will be partaking in their annual spring break trip to Florida again and are poised to make another run at the NCAA tournament at the end of the year for the seventh straight year. CSS' first win of the year came against a team that swept them in three games last year: St. Thomas. CSS has eight games in six days, while in the warm weather of Florida and will look gain momentum as they enter play back in the Midwest.
