ST. PAUL – The St. Scholastica men's tennis team was blanked by the University of St. Thomas on Sunday 9-0.
The Tommies (4-1) won seven of the nine matches by straight sets. The Saints' #Jacob Engelstad# forced a super-breaker at No. 1 singles, but fell 3-6, 6-1, (10-7). #Brendan Anderson# at No. 6 singles, also forced a super-breaker, but fell 6-3, 7-6, (10-5).
The Saints (1-5) will be off until spring break in a couple of weeks. The Saints will play their spring break matches in Orlando, Fla. and will open with Earlham College (Ind.) and St. Ambrose University (Iowa) on Monday, March 14th.
