Jamestown Jimmies (3-3)
Jamestown, an NAIA Division II athletic program, is off to a 3-3 start this season … The Jimmies have won two straight games entering this weekend, including a 106-34 thrashing of Briercrest College … Travis Burley leads Jamestown, averaging 18.5 points and 8.2 rebounds per game … Burley has two double-doubles so far this season … Byron Jones is second on the team, averaging 11.9 points per game … The Jimmies were ranked 22nd in the preseason NAIA poll.

Saint John's Johnnies (0-0)
The Johnnies have yet to play a game and will open the season Friday night against Division II St. Cloud State … Saint John's returns two, three-year starters in Aaron Barmore and Andy Burns, but the Johnnies are looking for three starters from a largely inexperienced group … Burns was second on the team in scoring a season ago at 10.9 points per game and was an honorable mention All-MIAC performer for the second consecutive season … SJU needs to find a way to replace Aaron Burtzel, a three-time All-MIAC selection and 2011 All-American, who graduated last spring … The Johnnies are picked to finish seventh in the MIAC, according to the preseason coaches' poll.
